The property came with a large steel shed in the backyard. Nothing special but was functional. To improve the shed I did a 2021 Shed Repair Project.
Access to the shed was through two sliding steel doors that over time no longer stayed in their tracks and there was no way to lock them. To make it worse, there were mice in the shed which Willow decided needed to be caught. So she figured out how to open the doors using GSP methods which means she wrecked them.
The first step was to remove the old doors, side panels and any unnecessary bracing.
Then I built new doors and side panels that I then mounted on the shed. The side panels provided solid connection points for the heavier doors. The doors include a latch that I keep locked. So far, it has been Willow proof.
The final step was to power wash the exterior of the shed, sand out any rust spots, prime and then paint. Other than the roof, it looks much better.
My 2021 Shed repair project is complete. The shed has new doors that I can lock and it has been painted to match the house color.
