In May, 2017 Jae and I took an Alaskan Cruise. We lucked out and had outstanding weather.
We cruised with Holland America on one of the ‘Dam’ ships. The majority of the passengers were in the early senior range. A few families and even fewer party animals. A very nice mix of people. The ship was not overly huge by cruise ship standards which was really nice. The food was excellent.
One of the things I really liked about this cruise was even when we were at sea, you could see the coast. I spent a lot of time walking the deck and there was always stuff to see whether the rugged shore or sea animals.
We took a couple of excursions including a sea plane tour over several glaciers and a salmon fishing charter.
