This is the recap of the 2021 Pheasant Season. While Covid was still prevalent, we were all vaccinated and boosted so we were comfortable traveling together. As it turns out, Kevin and I still ended up with Covid around Thanksgiving, after a trip to Iowa.

Birds Harvested: Total = 39, MN = 16, IA = 23, Lost = 5
Season Highlights
- We hunted with both dogs many times. Sometimes this worked out, sometimes it didn’t.
- Wind was a real challenge this year, especially in Iowa.
- The drought had minimal impact in Minnesota but a major impact in Iowa. Iowa cover was sparse and stunted.

Video
This video was shot by Kevin’s son Jacob. Willow had pointed and the bird was running. It was extremely windy so the dogs were having trouble pinning the birds down. As Kevin moved up Willow starting tracking. I was moving up to the right. Later in the video, you will see a hen that flushed in front of me.
