I have been trying to build some projects that I see on YouTube. This particular build is for a spiral Christmas Tree that Matthew Peech demonstrated in a video.
This tree is 3 feet high. The slats are moveable so for storage it can be flattened out. As of this post I have not put any kind of finish on it.
It was an interesting build. There is a lot of labor involved as well as steps that can lead to inconsistencies. I think that I could change a few things that would speed up the process considerably as well as make things more consistent.
Update: I changed the base, shortened the rod and we changed the spiral to be more aggressive. See the second picture.
