This is another idea from a Matthew Peech video. The concept is a box like structure that he calls a Christmas Tree Collar. You put it around the Christmas tree stand, instead of a tree skirt. In the video, he uses stencils to add some detail.
This was started weeks ago as a collar with angled sides. But the angles really didn’t work so the sides sat for about a month. I finally just cut them straight and added hinges.
Since I made this we have not put up a Christmas tree for a variety of reasons. I still have it so it may eventually get used. Or possibly I will give it away.
