One of the challenges to maintaining the lawn is mowing on top of the retaining walls. The existing edging was installed in 90 degree corners, which are not easy to mow with a riding mower. As I have time, I want to change the layout to allow for easier and faster mowing.
7/31 – Home Depot had an end of season sale on shrubs. I bought a dwarf Spruce and planted it where I wanted to modify the layout of a bed. After planting it, I then removed the sod and added edging. I need rock to complete the project, which will happen at a later date.
Before starting. The tree was on sale at Home Depot. I had to plant it right away, so I will have to work around it.
At this point the sod has been removed and the edging installed.
